Cataract surgery

The most effective treatment is cataract surgery through phacoemulsification, a modern procedure that at Perfect Vision we perform using state-of-the-art Swiss Oertli technology (the “Rolex” of cataract surgery).

Eye cataracts are one of the most common causes of vision loss after the age of 40. They occur when the eye’s natural lens becomes cloudy, causing blurred vision, difficulty seeing at night, and loss of color sharpness.

The surgery is performed through a 2.2 mm micro-incision, without needles and under topical anesthesia (eye drops). The cloudy lens is emulsified using ultrasound and replaced with an intraocular lens (monofocal, multifocal, toric, or premium). The procedure takes about 20 to 30 minutes and recovery is fast, allowing patients to return to normal activities almost immediately.
