Laser Vision Correction (LASIK, PRESBYOND, PRK)
Laser eye surgery is one of the most requested procedures to correct myopia, astigmatism, and hyperopia. Thanks to Carl Zeiss MEL 90 technology, the curvature of the cornea is safely and precisely reshaped to improve vision.
There are two main techniques:
LASIK (Laser In Situ Keratomileusis): This technique involves lifting a very thin corneal flap to apply the laser inside the cornea. It preserves the surface of the eye and offers an almost immediate visual recovery, usually within 12 hours, with minimal discomfort.
Trans-PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy): This procedure does not require cuts or a corneal flap. The laser works directly on the surface of the cornea, making it ideal for patients with thin corneas. Although recovery is slower (2 to 3 days), it is a safe and effective technique.
